Our mission is to improve the lives of lung transplant patients and their families.

Celebrating the Life & Legacy of Our Founder, Jeff Goldstein

Topics:

“Today we celebrate Jeff’s Lungaversary. Jeff wanted his family to consider this date his “new” birthday so we celebrated the day every year while he was with us. Although Jeff is no longer with us to blow out his Lungaversary candles, we will continue to celebrate the day as another way of remembering how blessed we were to have the years we had with him, how thankful we are to his donor and her family, and how proud we are of his legacy. He will always be dearly missed.” —Ellen Goldstein, (Jeff’s sister) and Board Secretary

Jeff dedicated his life after transplant to helping other lung transplant recipients and their caregivers. With this purpose in mind, he founded the Lung Transplant Foundation.

Since 2009, the Lung Transplant Foundation has raised funds and advocated for lung transplant research with the ambition of stopping all lung transplant rejection. Lung Transplant Foundation also provides education and emotional support for transplant recipients and their caregivers through the Lung Transplant Foundation Mentorship Program.

If you would like to honor Jeff’s legacy, please consider donating to the Lung Transplant Foundation in his memory.
