What Personally Identifiable Information is Collected collects personally identifying information which a user voluntarily provides when making an online purchase or donation when registering for events or to participate in the Joseph J. Carter Mentorship Program, and individuals that sign up to receive Lung Transplant Foundation e-communications. We collect personal information we receive offline when you volunteer, donate or participate in our events. Personally identifying information collected may include; name, e-mail address, format preference (HTML vs. Text), address, interests, and similar information. We may use this information for specific, limited purposes. You may always “opt out,” either now or at any time in the future if you do not wish to receive our messages.

IP addresses

The Lung Transplant Foundation uses your IP address to help diagnose problems with our server, to administer, and for statistical metrics used to track website visitor traffic.

It also lets us provide aggregate data about our traffic (not identifying you personally, but showing how many visitors used which features, for example) to outside parties.

We utilize secure transaction methods when collecting credit card information over the Internet. The Lung Transplant Foundation does not disclose credit card account information provided by our supporters. We submit the information to the appropriate clearinghouse in order to obtain payment.

Email Privacy

While the Lung Transplant Foundation does not sell, trade or rent your personal information to others, it may at times, to the extent allowed by law, share user information with reputable third parties (vendors, contractors, etc.) who perform services or marketing on our behalf.
