Eric Wurst

Eric earned his undergraduate and Doctor of Medicine degrees at Duke University. He completed his residency at The University of Cincinnati/Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center and practiced as a board-certified Internal Medicine and Pediatric physician for 16 years. He helped establish, served on the board, and was the medical director for a larger clinically-integrated network. He currently serves as a Medicare Advantage state medical executive for a major insurer.

He developed pulmonary fibrosis due to Short Telomere Syndrome and underwent a bilateral lung transplant at AdventHealth Orlando in December 2015. He resides in Orlando, FL with his wife. He has a son and daughter.
